LONDON WOOL SALES. Per Press Association. —Copyright. Received Nov. 38, 8.9 a.m. Loudon, November 37. At the woo! sales 9719 bales were offered, including a good assortment of merij-ios. Thcro *was a largo attendance and good competition. Compared wit'n closing prices of the October sales merinos averaged 10 per cent decline, and crossbreds, which were mostly slips, 7;kj per cent decline.

The High [Commissioner cables from London under date 37th The wool sales have commenced and plenty of buyers were present, and with competition among them business, which was quiet at the beginning improved during the progress ot -the sale. Business prospects are •good. • Prices iiave, however, dedined on account of the condition of the -- money market. Pine merino and crossbreds at an average of Id per lb lower than last sale. Timaru, November 37. At the wool sale here to-day buyers were apparently indifferent and the sales lacked animation. •Crossbred was neglected. There was fair competition for halihred. Prices show a drop of l.}Jd to 244 d, compared with the corresponding sale of last year. Half bred, 9Md[to !2d ; three-quarter bred, 9d to lOd ; ■crossbred, to 9d ; merino, 8d to prices 6d to BJ-gd; looks SJsjd to 4Md. Auckland, November 2 1. At the first wool sale of the season to-day 4375 bales were’ offered, being an increase of 365 bales on the opening sales of last year. A decrease in prices was anticipated, owing chiefly to the tightness of the money market, but it was rather surprising that this extended to fine wools. The decrease ranged from l)Jd to 3d. Both qualities of wool were really in •excellent condition, and all showed improvement in quality. STOCK REPORT. Per Press Association.

Christchurch, November 73. At the Addington live stock market to-day there was a fairly large entry of all classes of stock, and a good attendance. Fat cattle were rather easier, in -consequence of a more plentiful 6upply. Store sliocp sold well, also tat sheep, but fat lambs wore easier. Pigs were iu good demaud, and store and dairy cattle .met with a fair sale. There was a moderate yarding •of store sheep, and a good demand, especially for forward wethers. The entry of fat lambs was the largest for the season, and the quality was •mostly prim"', though there were a few lots that wore iu only store condition and brought low prices, • ■ Pat Lambs,—Prices ranged for standard, weights from 14s to 16s 9d, tegs 17s to 18s JCcl, and small lambs 8s to 12s 6d. I The yarding of fat cattle totalled .302, and with a few exceptions the iquality was medium. Owing to the •larger numbers, there was a slight decline in prices. Steers brought £7 7s 6d to £l3, heifers £5 7s Cd to £lO 15s, and cows £4 11s to £9 13s ■fid, equal to 35s to 27s Cd for prime -and 20s to 24s for medium per lOOlbs. Veal calves sold at 4s 6d to £3 os, and small down to Is 6d.
