mo TRAVEL ,Eata, Marton, and Bulls District, the Pure-bred Clydesdale Stallion LORD KINSALE. LORD KINSALE is a bright bay horse with plenty of bone and hair of the best quality, together with a good temper ami grand action. He was bred by Mr Ruddock, of Canterbury. His sire Lord Roberts' sire Lord Lion, winner of twelve firsts and twelve champion prizes. His grand sire, Lord Salisbury (1205), imported, winner of first prize at Ayr, 1870, as a two*year*old, first prize at Kilmarnock, 1477, and champion med *1 for best horse in the yard. In the same year he won first prize at Dalry.iirst at Ayr, first at Glasgow, and first at the Highland Society’s Show at'Edinburgh. After coming to New Zealand, Lord Salisbury won a large number of prizes. He was first at Dunedin in 1881, first and champion at Taieri in 1883, first and champion at Dunedin and Taeiriin 1884, and first and champion at Dunedin in ISSS and 18813. Lord Lion’s dam, Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imported), grand dam Molly McKissock,_ was imported by the late Mr McAllnm, her sire Lord Lion (4896 C. 5.8.) Molly McKissock took first prize at Ayr and Dumfries in SS97. Lord Roberts’ dam, Queen by Time of Day, by Vanquisher, imported from Scotland by the late Mr D. Nesbut, groat grand dam, imported from Tasmania, by Lincolnshire Hero. Queen won the first prize as a two-year-old at Oamaru in 1890, second prize as a brood marc at Oamaru in 1897, and was placed first as a dry mare in a strong ring at Oamaru in 1898, and won the first prize as a brood mare and champion medal for best mare or filly in the yard at Oamaru in 1899, and when nine years old was sold for 100 guineas. First and champion prize and first as mare with two of her progeny at Oamaru in 1900. LORD KINSALE’S dam, Lady Chattam, by the well-known sire Chattam bred by Mr Alexander McKenzie, Geraldine, Chattan’s sire. Young Banker (N.Z.S.B) imported from Scotland by the Hon. Matthew Holmes. Chatam’s dam Juno (479. N.Z.5.8.) by Renfrew Jock (135 N.Z.S’B.), imbortod from Victoria, by Renfrew, imported from Scotland. Juno’s dam Lady Wallace (91 N.Z.5.8.) Lady Wallace by Sir William Wallace, dam Mi-s Patterson, Lady Chattam’s dam Blossom by Young Victor, by Victor, by Conquer, grand dam Margaret (231, Vol. N.Z.S.B), grand dam Nancy by Old Wellington (imported), great grand dam Polly , (imported).
