The proprietors’ meeting is postponed till to-morrow. Meantime the mines remain idle. Received Nov. 20, 10.35 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 20. The miners’ committee of management accepted the Premier’s proposals, aud advised the Miners’ Lodges to do likewise. A special meeting of the lodges is being held to-night. It is anticipated that it will be certain to adopt the committee’s advice; Tiie chairman of the committee staked his reputation that they could have had the Southern and Western miners as well as the trades allied to the coal trade out if it had been necessary, but they had not been asked. One member estimated that a fortnight’s strike would cost Newcastle £265,000. including ■ £50,000 in miners’ wages.
