GRAND OPERA FAUST.
There was a good attendance last evening at Martou Opera House at the performance of the Oporascope Company. The pictures shown were excellent, though the inability of the direction to obtain an engine to operate the electric light somewhat detracted from the effect. The long film representing the opera Faust was well worth seeing and the colouring added much to the beauty of the scenes. The comic pictures were quite equal to those with which patrons of the cinematograph hare become familiar, and were received with hearty laughter. Miss Louie Fisher, who sang a couple of songs, has a sweet and cultivated voice, and sings without effort in a ve*y pleasant way. Miss Fisher and Mr Wilson also gave a very bright musical sketch entitled "The Dude and the ■ Chorus Girl.'' This evening there will be a complete change of programme, and those who attend may be promised a very interesting and amusing evening's entertainment.
