ALIDA LOMAN.
The song recital to he given at the Opera House, Mar ton, on Friday evening next, by Madame Alida_ Leman, tho famous lyric soprano from Amsterdam, is already being awaited with much interest by all lovprs of singing in Mar ton. " Blessed with a voice of striking beauty, Madame Lomau has conquered all tho arts of vocal expression. She is as well heard in tho simple ballad as in tho lyric and florid type of composition, As a liuOuist she excels, singing the compositions of several composers of different nationalities. At her recent recitals in Auckland and Wellington, press and public unanimously declared that no more charming songstress lias ever been hoard in this country. Madamo Leman will bo supported by Mr Eric Anderson, basso, Mr Georgo Poore, flautist, and Herr Eenuo Schftrek, pianist. The box plan is now open at Mogridgo’s where tickets for the unreserved seats are also on sale. The “Lipp” piano used at the recital is specially supplied by tho Dresden Piano Company, Wellington.
