At a Special Meeting of the Kiwitea Couoky Council, held at the County Office-, Kimba’ton, on SATURDAY, 19ih October, 1007, a resolution was passed by way of Special Order authorising the raising of a Special Loan of £6OO, by virtue of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the, Governor, and under the provisions of “Tire Public Works Act, 1905,” “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” “The Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act, 1908,” for the pur pose of providing its share of the cost of the erection of a bridge and approaches over the Oroua River on the Apiti Main South Road, known as the Marion Block Bridge. The said Special Loan to be for a term of 41 years, and the interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum, and the said Special Loan 1 be secured by a Special Rate of 450th of in the £ sterling on the rateable valuation of the whple of the K wi ea County.
