TO TRAVEL THIS SEASON in the Huntervillo, Silverhope, Sc- K'-Zs JJ-' Marton, and Bulls District, the Pure-bred Clydesdale Stallion LORD KINS ALE. LORD KINSALE is a bright hay horse with plenty of bone and hair of the best quality, together with a good temper and grand action. He was bred hv Mr Ruddock, of Canterbury. His sire Lord Roberts* sire Lord Lion, winner of twelve firsts and twelve champion prizes. His grand sire, Lord Salisbury (1205), imported, winner of first prize at Ayr, 1876, as a two-year-old, first prize at Kilmarnock, 1877, and champion mod *1 for best horse in the yard. In the same year he won first prize at Dairy, first at Ayr, first 1 /tl —.. He was first at Dunedin in 1881, first and champion at Taieri in 1883, first and champion at Dunedin and Taeiri in 1884, and first and champion at Dunedin in 1885 and IBBG.
Lord Lion’s dam, Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imported), grand dam Molly MoKissock, was imported by the late Mr MoAllnm, her sire Lord Lion (4890 C. 5.8.) Molly MoKissock took first prize at Ayr and Dumfries in 1897. Lord Roberts’ dam, Queen by Time of Day, by Vanquisher, imported from Scotland by the late Mr D. Nesbufc, great grand dam, imported from Tasmania, by Lincolnshire Hero. Queen won the first prize as a two-year-old at Oamaru in 1890, second prize as a brood mare at Oamaru in 1897, and was placed first ns a dry mare in a strong ring at Oamaru in 1898, and won the first prize as a brood mare and champion medal for best mare or filly in the yard at Oamaru in 1899, and when nine years old was sold for 100 guineas. First and champion prize and first as mare with two of her progeny at Oamaru in 1900. LORD KINSALE’S dam, Lady Chattam, by the well-known sire Chattan, bred by Mr Alexander McKenzie, Geraldine. Chattnn’s sire. Young Banker (N.Z.S.B) imported from Scotland by the Hon. Matthew Holmes. Chatam’s dam Juno (479, N.Z.5.8.) by Renfrew Jock (135 N.Z.S’B.), imborted from Victoria, by Renfrew, imported from Scotland. Juno’s dam Lady Wallace (91 N.Z.5.8.) Lady Wallace by Sir William Wallace, dam Miss Patterson, Lady Chattam’s dam Blossom by Young Victor, by Victor, by Conquer, grand dam Margaret (231, Vol. N.Z.S.B), grand dam Nancy by Old Wellington (imported), great grand dam Polly (imported).
