BRITISH RAILWAY SETTLEMENT.
LABOUR PRESS CRITICISM.
Press Association —Copyright. Loudon, November 15.
The “Labour Leader” describes the railway settlement as the Sedan of the British trade union.movement. Not only is it virtually a betrayal of the railway men’s agitation, but it erects formidable walls against the possibility of any future “ all grades ” movement. The "Kailway Review” the organ of the Amalgamated Society, says that Mr Lloyd George must bear the credit or discredit of the settlement. 'With the railway men it was largely Hobson s choice. . ' „ [The “ Labour Leader ” is the organ or the British Independent Labour party and was formerly edited by Mr Kei Hardie, M.P.]
