At a Special Meeting of the Kiwitea County Council, held at the County Offices, Kimbolton, on SATURDAY, 19th October* 1907, a resolution was passed by "way ot Special Order authorising, the raising of a Special Loan of. £6OO, by virtue of a warrant issuecl under the hand of Hia Excellency the: Governor, and under the "provisions of "The Public Works, Act, 1905," " Tho Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," " The Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act, 1903," for the purpose of providing its share of the cost of the erection of a bridge nnd approaches over the Oroua River on the Apiti Main South Road, known as the Marton Block Bridge.
