VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.

I News brought by tiio Atna to*day states that the volcano on the Island Savau in the Samoa grorip has become much enlarged and is now stated to be the most extensive active eruption in the world. Thd overflow of lava is tremendous and is daily increasing,. inid. manly of the residents of Savau have loft the island, considering it unsafe to remain there any longer. A now island is said to be arising oft the east end of Savau and probably a now crater will bo developed in too son. Steam clouds from the volcano thousands of feet high arc every day sights.
