LORD KINSALE is a bright bay horse with plenty of bone and hair of the best quality, together with a good temper and grand action. He was bred by Mr Ruddock, of Canterbury. His sire Lord Roberts* sire Lord Lion, winner of twelve firsts and twelve champion prizes. His grand sire, Lord Salisbury (1*205), imported, winner of first prize at Ayr,. 1870, as a two-ycas-qld, first prize at Kilmarnock', 1877, and champion med a l for best horse in the yard. In the same year he won first prize at Dairy, first at Ayr, first at Glasgow, and first at the Highland Society’s Show at'Edinburgh. After coming to New Zealand, Lord Salisbury won a large number of prizes. He was first at Dunedin in 1SS 1 , first and champion at Taieri in 1883, first and champion at Dunedin and Taeiri in 1884, and'first and champion at Dunedin in 1885 and *BBb. , „ , Lord Lion’s dam, Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imported), grand dam Molly was imported by the late Mr McAllum, her sire Lord Lion (489 GC. 5.8.)
