HIDE AND SKIN REPORT,

Dalgoty and Company, Ltd-, report hnving held their usual monthly sale of wool, skins, hides, tallow, etc., on Friday, Ist November. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen for all lot? offered. Wool.; We offered a small catalogue of crutciiinga and dead wool. Prices were equal to late rates. Dead, s^d; crutchings, 4d to sjd; skin pieces, 2d. , Sheepskins: We offered a good catalogue, but prices were slightly easier by Aftoidper pound. Dead hoggets Old, first dead 7d to 74d. second dead sid to Gd; shorts 5Jd to Gd ; Cross-bred stall pelts Sid to 6{dj cross-bred, 74<J to 8 4 d ; lambs, 7id; black, Gd; cross-bred, part dry and green, Gs 4d, 7s, and 7s Gd to 8s 2d; dead, 3a Gd ; lambs. Is Od ; pelts Is 7d, salted pelts Is lOd. Calf Skins: Very keen competition for all lots offered. Medium to good, Gd, G.}d to GdiSd ; meaty, 5d ; cut, 4Ed to 54d ; small half dry 3d, slippy 23d. Hides: Prices wore on a par with last sale. Good heavy ox s}d, medium to lirrht, 5-id to 4gd. Cows, medium 4ild to dfei ii-rixt 4cl to 4ld, cows slightly cut 36,1’ Hippy 3d to 34d, yearlings s;|d, bulls 2,?d. 'Tallow ; In casks 24a Gd, tins HL. All other sundries sold at fall market rates.
