PARLIAMENT.
Press Association. Wellington, November 4. The House met at 7.30 p.m. The Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment Bill and the Ngatimam Landless Natives Bill were read a first time. The Premier intimated that to-morrow he would inform members of the date when he would bring down the Public Works estimates. He also hoped to intimate when Parliament would prorogue. The House went into committee for the' Moikle Acquittal Bill. Mr Poland moved to amend the title to “Wrongly Convicted Persons Acquittal Bill”, and the debate proceeded.
