(From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting of tho Tenuis Club was held on jr Thrush ay, when both report aud balance sheet wore adopted. Owing to increased expenditure it was decided to raise the subscription. A pavilion will shortly he erected, aud tho freehold of tho section acquired. The following pincers were elected for the ensuing year:—President,. Mr F. S. Guy; vice.presidents, Messrs H. Bennett, J. Falconer, H. G. Stephens, E. Oummorfield, and Dr. Gregory; secretary, Mr J. Decke; treasurer, Miss A. Boss; captain, Mr J. Matthews; executive committee, Mesdames Gregory, Matthews, Gill, Gummor field, and Mr W. Curtis. The season wll bo formally opened on November 9th.
Tenders for the new post office closed on Friday. The building will be fitted tip to meet modern requirements,' and when erected will prove a valuable asset to the township. Glorious sunshine is the rule of the day now, aud its good effect is everywhere apparent. A big demand Ims been created for ploughmen.
