Australasian: Derby, Mountain King, Cup, Apologue 1, Mountain King 2, Welcome Trist 3. Tho market is very quiet. The latest j Derby quotations are: 7 to 4- on Mountain King; 9 to 2 against Welcome ] Trist; 7 to 1 v. Master Foote; 20 to 1 v. anything bar 3. , Melbourne Cup : 3tol v. Apologue; G j to 1 v. Poseidon and Mountain King ; 10 !to X Tarton and Mooltan; 12 to 1 v. i Welcome Trist; 16 to 1 v. Dyed Garments (the latter was well backed) ; 2d to Iv. Mira; 23 to Iv. Lady Diffidence. The weather is dull and threatening. Solution Sold. The N.Z. bred mare Solution was sold at auction to-dav and purchased by Mr I. Earnshaw for Mr Moses, of Sydney, for stud purposes. Tho price paid was 1500 guineas.
