They steamed inito tlie bay and opened fire on the town and" troops ashore, whereupon o. gunboat and sliree destroyers replied, TJie 2ifn<l artillery regiment also turned their guns on the Skory, which was riddled with shell, SJje was beached and the agitators aboard were killed and tfie mutineers arrested. During tho engagement Captain Kurasch of the torpedoer Kavy was killed, Lieut. Vassituff of the destroyer was .-.oripysly wounded, and Lieut. Steer,' commando,r of tho Skory, ■jyp.g killed and 'also' some civilians. Mutinous minors at Vladivostock shot at tho boilers of the destroyer Skory, whicli blew up and only three aboard escaped.
