While crossing a small bridge bet’AVoeu tho Grmhgo hrulgQ £iiicl Cli\G to-day a traction engine belonging to Powdroll Bros., Hastings, tell through the bridge, half burying itself' in the water and mud. Tli.o lorries loaded with wool which the engine was drawing, broke away, when tho engine disappeared anti the drivers escaped wicip a few bruises. The same engine went through the fVauangi Bridge last rear.
