EDISON’S LATEST DISCOVERY

Press Association.—Copyright. New York, October 21. Mr T. A. Edison has announced that he has perfected a compact electric storage battery of almost unlimited capacity, thus cheapening and revolutionising transport. This represents the result of years of experiment on his part, regarding which much has been written, Mr Edison declares that the horse is in consequence destined to disappear from city streets excepting for pleasure purposes. The famous inventor adds that everyone owning a horse will soon be able to afford an automobile.
