Trentham Meeting

The draft programme of Trontham rifle meeting is now ready and will be published as soon as aiiproved of. The champion prize, with the bolt, will bo increased to £SO. A special match for Rifle Club men, to he fired simultaneously .w-tth the volunteer match, has been added to the programme, but otherwise it is on the same basis as last year. If a team is required for Bisley a special series of matches will ho fired to decide its personnel. Comjjetitors will be permitted to use the new wind gauge and slide as provided by the Imperial War Office and used at last Bisley meeting. Government lias cabled for a supply The pull of the trigger can he reduced to five instead of sis pounds. Some alteration will bo made in the targets at 200 and 300 yards. They will bo 4ft. by 4ft., bullseye Gin., inner loin., magpie 24in. The inner is divided from the bullseye by a faint white lino, not visile to the firer.

The range is in excellent order, and many improvements have been effected during the recess. The firing mounds have been levelled and sown in grass, and where this could not be done new turf has been laid.
