The Miners’ Federation unanimously recommended a Bill providiug for tho nationalisation of mines, and also unanimously favoured tho abolition of the House of Lords. A conference of tho Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants at Middleshorough unanimously supported the demand for tho recognition of the Society by tho railway companies. . Delegations of the Shipping Federations at Antwerp, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Gotheuberg, and other places will meet the British Shipping Federation in London on Tuesday to take concerted measures of defence against unionism. Ramsay MacDonald suggests that if a railway settlement is impossible Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman ought to summon a special session of Parliament to avert a strike, aud force the directors to arbitrate.
