The Voucher showed t' e way to a clustered field over the first fence. At tho second hurdle The Voucher and Ataahua rose in front together'. Going down tho back St. Amelia moved up into the load. As they cams on round tho home bond St. Amelia was out by herself, with Ataahua next and The Vouchor in difficulties next. St. Amelia] won pulling up by two lengths. Time, 3min 55secs. , Div, £2 17s.

Jenkins) ... ... 3 __ Also started: Turkish Maid, Galahad. The start on a corner was a bumping one, and Galahad shot out to the front and led to the back stretch from Turkish Maid. At the flvo-furlong post the hitter took up the running, and Lady Disdain moved up into second position. Halfway round the homo bend Lady Disdain drew away and was in front at tho straight entrance and all tho way down to opposite the stand, where Saga came with a rattle and won by a bare head, Gauze two lengths away. The Stake, fighting hard for his head, was quickest to move, but at the 6 turlong post Eendrock rushed to the front and led down the back, Rosegvove being at the tail end of tbo field. On the bond Flotilla joined Eendrock with William and The Stake close ou their heels. Before reaching the distance tho favorite came through and won comfortably by a length. A good race for second place. The Stake having a short neck from Eendrock. Time, lmiu47 2-ssecs. Divs, £2 9s and .£1 17s. Hack Hurdles, 11 miles.
173 Mr G. Delaney’s Te Kainui, Tasman —Capucine, 10.7, (F. Lind) 1 190 Captain Braithwaite’s Playmate, 10.11, (A. McConnon) 2 5C Mr J. Jackman’s Paparaehi, 9.13 (Futoher) 3 Also started : Hurimoana. Playmate and To Kainui were in the van all tho journey. Hurimoana fell at the fence opposite the box and Paparehi toiled away in the rear. Playmate was in front all the way round tho homo bend and Te Kanui hit the next to last fence very bard. In the run home, however. To Kainui had the more foot and won comfortably by a length. No time taken. Div, £2 Us. Stewards’ Hack, 6 furlongs. 118 Mrs P. Rogers’ Clem, St Clements —Queenio, 8.4 (,E. Cameron) ... 1 286 Mr A. Rhodes’ Golden Eagle, 8.2 (H. Gray) .... 2 293 Mr J. Ormond’s Marsellaiae, 8.4 (C. Jenkins) ... ... ... 3 A’so ran :52 Probability, 73 HouybnImm. Golden Eagle and Marsellaise abreast quickly had a 'substantial margin from the others and still were in front coming round the bend, with Clem moving up. Goldeu Eagle led into the straight but Clem cut her down at the distance and had all the best of the argument, winning by a length, Marsellaise three lengths away. Time, Imin 20 l-ssoc. Div, £6 ss.
Welter Hack Handicap, 7 furlongs. 32 W. Homes’ Hurimoaua, Torpedo —Como, 9.G (H. Gray) ... 1 2IS Mr S. I'j. Cooper’s Pearlie, 9.1 (K. Barlow) ... ... ... ... 2 31 Mr F. Fowler’s Galahad, 9.1 (H. Telford) ... ... ... ... 3 Also started : Greenloaf, Pixie, Happy Maid, Reveille, St. Flora. Pixie and Greenleaf were in front approaching and going round the home bend, with Hurlmoana lying close up. When heads were turned for homo, Hurimoana put in a strong run, and coming on full of running won comfortably by two lengths, about same distance between second and third. Time, lmin37 2-ssecs.
