LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR

Per Press Association. Dunedin, October 9. Bishop Verdon laid the foundation stone of the New Home for the Aged Poor at Anderson’s Bay. The home is conducted by the Little Sisters of the Poor who were established here three years ago. That home has now IS inmates and was found much too small. The new home will be 160 ft x 51 ft, of throe storey, will cost ,£6OOO, and is situated on a commanding position. Speeches were made by Bishop Yordon, the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr Louden) and Mr J. M. Gallaway. £145 was collected at the close of the ceremony.
