SHOOTING TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA.
Per Press Association. Wellington, October 3. The team to represent New Zealand at the rifle meetings in Australia left by the Wimmera this afternoon. This morning the men were addressed by the Minister of Defence and Colonel Collins, and the latter saw them off by the steamer. Capt. Bavclap, of Dunedin, goes with the team as adjutant, and the following rifle shots also went to take part in the various competitions: —W. and C. Speck (Huroroa), J. R. Franklin (Weber), W. Judd (Karori), T. Muggridge (Palmerston North), J. Meyers (Hikurangi).
