Great. uneasiness exists among German commercial men owing to fear that preference will enable English merchants to undersell German exports, -while it would be disadvantageous to _ German home' trade to place an incoming duty on raw materials imported from Australia. The Frankfurter Zeituag declares that 'Germans, expect their Government to protest by all means at their, disposal against tho granting of preference whioh will favour British productions.
