NEW ZEALAND ATHLETIC UNION.

A meeting of the Feilding centre of the New Zealand Athletic Union was held at Feilding on Wednesday afternoon. Present —Messrs Ongley (Feilding Club), I. J. Fake (Palmerston St. Patrick's Sports Club), J. Collingwood (Awahuri Sports Club), W. R. Walker (secretary), E. 11. Fisher (president), McDonald and D. Munro (West Coast and Palmerston Caledonian Society).

In the report of the past season it was stated that the initial efforts of the centre had been successful. Eighteen clubs had affiliated and ■three permits were granted. The number of competitors registered was 161. Although the district was a large one, it had generally been arranged for a representath e of the centre to be pi rs-nt at each sports meeting.
