Senator Millen moved the adjournment of the Senate to urge the necessity of Government action in connection with the coal vend. Ho suggested the appointment of a Commission. The vice-presi-dent of the Executive Council said the difficulty was to obtain evidence regarding the alleged combine or monopoly. Peoplo would not come forward and prove their signatures in connection with any original contract. It they could procure the necessary direct evidence the Government would undoubtedly make out a case for prosecution.
