DOMINION DAY.

Per Press Association. N.u'iui!, September 25. Dominion Day will bo observed hero as a general holiday. It will open with a volunteer parade, followed by reading tho declaration by tho Mavor, after which tho school children and cadets will parade and salute tho dag. For tho afternoon amusement will bo provided m a football tournament. At night a portion of the town will be illuminated by a brilliant electric light display by tho Napier Gas 00., who recently installed a very complete and powerful plant supplying electric light and powei to blocks of buildings adjacent to their town offices. Comprehensive arrangements have been made for tho illumination by the company at their', own cost. The Masonic, Criterion, and Caledonian Hotels will have electric light installed by tho company.
