COOK’S PICTURES.
Owing, no doubt, to nuiueroiis other attractions in Marton this week and to tho fact that the town has only recently been -vlsitod by a id-taro* show, the audience at the Ipoc-ra House. Marton, last evening v, not r.s lams as the merits of the or Cook’s Pictures merited. The whole of the pictures were good, quite equal to any yet shown, hut among the most prominent wore “ ,v Trip through Northern Queensland.” This was a magnificent pioi ■ ■- showing tho beautiful “Harrcn i..;;5,” the grand scenery in the Cairns district, and tho Stonoy Creek Palls in the same district. Added interest was given to this picture by the interesting description given by one of the company. ‘‘A Scone on a Swan Farm” was another lino picture, in fact the finest nature stmlv vet shown in the Onera House.
A number of humorous pictures were shown, also some very hue coloured ones. Descriptive songs were contributed in finished style by Mr G. B. Slack. Should this company bo more fortunate in their selection of a date on the occasion of their next appearance in Martou a bumper house should greet them—they deserve it.
