A Correction.
Slß.—* beg to correct “Your Own Correspondent” re his report of the Waituua Literary and Debating Society, which appeared ih yorir issue of the 13th instant, re the subject of debate on the 10th inst., viz., “Is Groat Britain beginning to Decline?” The speakers should range thus Affirmative, Messrs E. and A. Shannon and Miss Paul j Jand for the negative, Messrs Goldsbury, E, Anderson and O. Fitton. Owing to the Chairman being unused to the position proceedings on that evening got rather mixed, consequently only fite votes for the negative and fohr for' the affirmative wore recorded. By the way, I should wish to draw your Correspondent’s attention to the fact that ho has failed to report on a Considerable number of meetings of this society, therefore, let uS hope he will nflw continue to report the doings of this distinguished aud interesting association, of which yors truly has the honour of being a member. —I am, etc., ..
