MANAWATU RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Manawatu Eifle Association was held last night at Mounsey’s rooms. The date of the next shoot waa fixed for November 7 and 8, 1907. The programme was left in the hands of the sub-committee to arrange, and report to next meeting on Tuesday night. Competitors are allowed to provide their own ammunition.

Hearty votes of thanks were passed to S. Greer, Esq., for his handsome donation of a shield, and cheer’s for the donor, who was present and selected the design sent in by P. Waters and Son. Resolved to hold a meeting for cadets after January. Shield Conditions: Teams of 5 men from any corps or club in New Zealand, 7 shots eaclx at 200, 500, 600 yards. Shield to bo held for one year, and the team to get 1 gold and 4 silver medals.
