MAsteuton, September T7T - The Borough Council to night rescinded the resolution passed at last meeting deciding that all tho staff connected with the' departments of the town clerk atid borough engineer should receive three months* notice terminating their engagement with tho Council. Instead, it was resolved, after a lengthy discussion; to give the town clerk twelve months’ leave of absence and the engineer six months’ leave of absence, both on full pay. Other officers will remain in tho employ of the Council.
