BULLS TOWN BOARD.

At tho monthly meeting of the above there were present Commissioners Walker (chair), Fletcher, King aud Stevenson. Tho Chairman apologised for tho absence of Mr Levott on account of illness.

Tho Sanitary Inspector’s report was road. A letter was received from Commissioner Rhodes, applying for three mouths’ leave of absence, which was granted.

Plan of tho Town Hall section was produced, aud nu the motion of Commissioners King—Stevenson the chairman was authorised to sign the lease.

In the matter of the proposed loan, it was resolved that tho meeting of ratepayers be held on September 27th, aud the poll on October ICth.

On the motion of tho Chairman, seconded by Mr Stevenson, the Clerk was appointed returning officer for all elections or other occasions required by the Board.

Tho Clerk was instruced to furnish accounts to Mr Wearue for a culvert, Mr Holmes for tar, and the Rangitikei County Council for hire of tar boiler.

Sundry accounts were passed for payment on the motion of Mr King, seconded by Mr Fletcher. The Clerk reported payment into tho Board’s funds by tho pondkeeper. Messrs Stevenson aud Mansell were appointed the Works Committee for tho month.

At a meeting of the Domain Board, held after tho Town Board meeting, it was resolved that the Board’s solicitor be instructed to terminate the lessee’s lease aud to proceed to recover damages for losses sustained.

Mr Stevenson reported having paid into the hank tho sum of £2 for grazing. On tho motion of Air Walker, seconded by Mr King, it was resolved that Messrs Stevenson aud King be empowered to expend the sum of £2 in planting trees on the Domain.
