Mr Bell, M.P., addressing 2500 railway men at Manchester said that the Executive o£ the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants had decided to refer the question of a strike to a ballot in October giving tho railway directors a final chance to concede the men’s claims including the right, to appoint representatives to negotiate. The meeting concurred in the decision also railway men at Crowe, Derby, Swindon, Peterborough, Bradford, Cardiff, Southport and elsewhere have resolved to support the Executive.
