An Obstinate Fight,

Chinese rebels, armed with modern weapons and led by emigrants returning from the Straits Settlements and Aunam, had an obstinate fight, lasting 13 hours, with troops at Liugshuan. Reinforcements of Imperial troops from Kwangsi, 60 miles distaut7 relieved the town.
