COOK’S PICTURES.

After an absence of twelve months Cook’s Picture Company Jhave returned from tiieir triumphal tour through the Commonwealth, and are opening in Marton on Wednesday, Sept. 18th. The projecting apparatus is claimed to be the finest in the colony and produces a bright clear picture, quite free from “flicker” ' which is so distressing to the eyes. All the films are new and have been purchased at great cost from the laboratories Of London,New York and Paris. The Company come to ns with a competent staff of operators, musicians and mechanics, and tlie show stands for all that is best and . brightest in this particular form of ; entertainment. The management! announce that they have just secured some splendid films of the great sculling match (Wehb v. ; Towns), also the famous Rugby ' match “All Blacks” v. Australia, which have been specially taken by Mr Cook and are being shown for the first time here. Beautifully illustrated American songs will be rendered at suitable intervals during the exhibition and the whole pro- ; gramme enriched with orchestral ! and mechanical effects.
