TREES ON BOUNDARIES.

A Novel Case. Per Press Association. Auckland, September 13. William Small was charged at the Police Court to-day on the information of Francis S. Stewart with having planted trees alongside the boundary lino of his property at Birkenhead without the previous written consent of the occupier of contiguous land. Mr Solwyn Mays, who; conducted tho prosecution, said he believed this was tho first case of tho kind over heard in the colony. Defendant had planted some pine trees between ids property and that of Mr Steward without obtaining tire hitter’s consent. Mr Dyer, S.M., convicted defendant and ordered him to pay £3 Is costs.
