HOCKEY.

Napier, September 11,

Two ladies’ hockey matches were played on the Recreation ground this afternoon. In the first match the Te Kooti Club (Hastings) beat tho "Wanganui ladies’ hockey team by two goals to nil.

The second match was a representative match between the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay ladies’ hookey teams. The game was very fast and interesting and tho two sides were very evenly matched. After a well contested game Hawke's Bay won. by one goal to nil.
