Colonel Templet’s airship made a suecostul preliminary ascent from Parnborough Common and circled in the air under perfect control, but made a premature descent owing to an accident lo the driving Capper, superintendent of the balloon section of the Royal Engineers, expressed the greatest satisfaction at the manner in which the balloon answered the rudder both with and against the wind. A second thoroughly successful assent was made later with throe occupants.
