Championship Meeting

Per Press Association,

Napibe, September 11. The N.Z. Golf Club’s Championship meeting was continued to-day. Slight rain fell in the afternoon and this developed into fairly heavy showers by 5 p.m., but play was almost over by that time.

The Amateur Medal Handicap, 18 holes, was iron by L. C. Seifert with a net score of SO, Wikaraneima was second with 81, A. S. Wilder third with 85, and Arthur Duncan, tho amateur champion, took fourth with a net score of 80, but ho did tho round in 78, a very fine performance. D. B. "Wood, 11. C. Smith, J, F. Ritchie, Kurupo Taroha and G. F. Thorburn put on the next beat gross scores to Duncan’s. Tho O’Eorko Vase for teams was won by the Wellington team with a link score of 353, Dunedin 300, Timaru 368, Napier 2G9, Christchurch No. 1 378, Christchurch No. 2 300, and Auckland 396.
