A Parliamentary party went this after-, noon on an excursion in tho harbour by the Nora Niven, tho little steamer under charter to Government for experimental trawling purposes. Tho Kora Niven leaves to-morrow for the Sounds, going first to tiro north of Stephens Island if the weather is favourable ; if not she will go into Tasman Bay. It is proposed thoroughly to test tho West Coast grounds of the South Island, after which experiments will bo made along tbo West Coast of tbo North Island.
