THE ANTWERP STRIKE.

Per Press Association-Copyright. Antwerp, September 5, Nine timber sheds have been burned. The damage done amounts to £500,000. Antwbp, August 5.

Timber fires, started by the strikers, continue to rage, aud have so far caused damage to the extent of several million francs. Two streets are threatened. 'The water supply is defective. Fire brigades from Brussels and Ghent and a battalion of engineers arc helping to subdue the flames.
