Nominations will close at the Secretary’s Office, Marton, on FRIDAY, 16th August, at 7 p.m. Weights will bo declared on or about the 21st August in the Eanqitikei Advocate. Acceptances and General Entries on TUESDAY', 27th August, at 8.30 p.m. Weights for Second Day’s Races will be declared on WEDNESDAY, 4th September, at 8 o’clock, at the office of the Secretary, Marton. Acceptances the same evening at 9 o’clock at the same place. RULES. All races to bo run under the Now Zealand Rules of Racing. All entries to bo sealed and addressed to the Secretary Marton Jockey Club, Marton, and entrance money to bo enclosed with name of horse, age at time of entry, name of owner and trainer, pedigree, and colours of riders. All nominations by wire must he confirmed by letter by first mail afterwards. A hunter moans a horse whoso owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse I has been ridden to hounds during the | past season to the satisfaction of the | Master, and has neither w y on nor is nominated at the date of entry for a race of .£40 —Hack and Hunter races excepted.
