Stock Report. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Feildiug, report for week ending August 81st as under :—At Kimboltou on Tuesday the yarding of sheep, principally hoggets, was rather small, hut the quality was |very good. The cattle pens * were practically neglected. Prices realised, however, were full times values, and the sale was a good one. Mixed hoggets IGs sd, ewe hoggets IGs Od, springing cows £3 11s Od. At F, W. Lucas’ clearing sale at Apiti on Wednesday, despite the large number of dairy cows offering privately up country, wo sold all Hr Lucas’ under the hammer at prices which were considered very satisfactory. The sundries and furniture also sold well. Cows in milk brought £3 10s to £5, springing cows up to £5 10*. At Feildiug on Friday we had good entries of both sheep and cattle. There was a better demand for sheep, aud all lines were quitted. Buyers were present for cattle, aud a brisk sale resulted, prices being "particularly good for yearling steers aud fat cattle. Dairy stock were dull of sale. Sheep ; Hoggets 11s Id to 15s 6cL, 3, 4, and 6 tooth ewes in lamb 32s lid, ewes with lambs 5s Od, fat wethers 30s 4d to 32s Id, fat ewes 30s. Cattle : Yearling heifers 18s to 3.25, mixed yearlings ,28s Gd, store cows 26s to 325, forward cows 37s If to 555, cows in calf £3 Is to £2 17s Cd, cows in milk £3 10s to £3 15s, springing cows £3 10s to £1 ss, forward heifers £3 4s to to £3 Gs, light fat cows £4 3s, fat heifers £5 11s, S year steers £3 10s, 3 and 4 year bullocks £5 15s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as followsAt Palmerston North on Thursday an average yarding of sheep and cattle camo forward. There was a good attendance of buyers and a keen demand ifor cattle, particularly steers aud fat bullocks. Quotations— Sheep: Ewes in lamb IGs to 18s 7d, mixed hoggets 14s 4d. Ca ttle : Small yearlings 30s 6d to 355, good yearlings 29s to 83s, 18-mouth heifers 30s to 335, store ccws 31s to 3Gs, cows in calf 33s to £3 17s Gd, springing cows £3 15s to £5 os, 18month steers £3 8s Cd, forward bullocks £G ss, fat bullocks £7 12s Gd to £9 7s.
