Peoiho are almost panic-stricken at the presence of what is believed to be some vague menace or organised attempt to make the Pacific Coast a yellow country! Various Oriental Exclusion Leagues in Canada and the United States propose a conference on tho question. Kosso, tho Japanese Consul at Ottawa, says only 3834 Japanese have entered British Columbia, and these are mostly merchants and students proceeding to tho United States, tho net number of immigrants to Canada being 641.
