Tho freehold of 105 acres after a good competition was knocked down #o Mr J. Hodge at £l3 os per acre. Mr W. Hair, jun., was the purchaser of the goodwill of the Education Reserve, 78 acres, at £350. The sheep were good and consequently fetched exceptionally high figures. A lino of 200' 2 aud 6 and f.f'.m. ewes in lamb made 2s 3d and the ewe hoggets 17s Od. Very satisfactory prices were realised for the other stock and implements. 2,4, G, and f.f.m. ewes in lamb 3:2s 3d. ewe hoggets 17s (id, wether hoggets 16s, two and a half year steers £4 lis, draught geldiug £-39, trap horses £l4 to £l7 10s. At Feildiug on Thursday wo had a small yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep 'dragged somewhat, but cattle sold readily. Sheep: 2 tooth wethers 17s lOd, hoggets 13s 7d. Cattle: Dairy cows £2 10s to £4 as, store cows 31s (id, fat cows £4 Is, two and a half vear steers £4 Is, light fat bullocks' £0 to £7. On Thursday Mc;: ts Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held a very successful clearing sale of dairy cows, etc., on account of Mr Walter Bar tie tt, Silverhopo. Mr Bartlett's herd was recognised as being one of the best iu tho district and the buyers futly realised this by the prices paid for cows, the average for tho whole herd of 72 cows beiug £<> (is. Some of the best cows brought up to £lO and £lO ss. Pigs: Sows aud litters of young £2 15s to £5, porkers His to 10s Cd, sows in pig 30s, barrows 27s fid, boar 255.
