COURTS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, August 17. Before Mr Justice Cooper three men. John Byron Hamilton, George Ferris and William Robert Sinclair, convicted of burglariously entering tho premises of Laery and Co. and by moans of dynamite breaking' open a safe, were set forward, for sentence. Ferris and Sinclair haul also pleaded guilty to two other charges of burglary and. Hamilton had been found guilty of receiving articles which he know to have been stolen. His Honor, in passing sentence, said there was no doubt in his mind that prisoners were very dangerous men aud the community would be much safer for their conviction. For tho offence of breaking and entering Laery and Go. "s premises and committing robbery accused would each bo sentenced to JO years. Ferris and Sinclair would he sentenced to five years on each of the charges to which thoy had pleaded euilty. Hamilton would also receive sentences on other charges. Iu effect the punishment is 15 years for each prisoner.
