Mr Justico Williams to-day sentenced Donald McDonald to 15 niontli!) for theft, Charles Henry Johnson to nine months for theft, Michael Lenahan to i 3 months for theft; Mary Gibson was ordered to como up for sentence for false registration of birth; William Campboll Smith, for breaking and entering, was discharged on Smith's father entering into recognisance of £.20 that accused would como up if called on; Alfred Leopard Blue, concerning whom the Industrial School authorities reported very atL versely, was sentenced to two years for liouso breaking; and William Dougall to 18 months for embezzlement.

At tho Supreme Court to-day a youth named John Downie Stewart was acquitted on a charge of forgery and uttering. Charles Holmes was also acquitted on a chargo of stealing £8 and a gold watch chain from a fellow passenger en the Maheno on July 18th. "The chargo of manslaughter against Wiliiara Barnard Rhodes Moorhouso, arising out of the Now Brighton boach motor cycle fatality, was mentioned by Mr Stringer, tlifs Crown Prosecutor. Ho said that counsel woro coming from Welling.tou to defend Moorhouso, and lie understood that there were several medical witnesses. Ho therefore suggested that tho case might be fixed for Friday. His Honour fixed the caso accordingly. Wellington, August 13. At the Supremo Court to-day tho case in which Sydney Macnamara was charged with having kept a common gaming house was concluded, accusod boiug found not guilty. William Henry Oakonful pleaded not guilty to a chargo of stealing £8 from Charles Ridohacgeh at Martinborough, but pleaded guilty to receiving tho money, knowing it to have been stolen. The prosecution accepted this plea, and sentenced was deferred. James Kennedy was acquitted on a charge of stealing £5 from Frederick Siegol at Mastortou.
