Orchard, who was arrested for throwing a box of dynamite clown ■tho shaft of the Extendod Hustler mine, whicli wrecked a cage, made an unsuccessful attempt to stranglo himself iu his cell.
It is reported from Bendigo that a young man, who was refused work, throw a case of dvnamite down ;tho Extended Hustler's Mine shaft, lhero was no explosion, but tho cage was wrecked. The gporpetrator lias been arrested.
