The Professional Team.

(Per Press Association.l Wellington, August 7. The professional Rugby footballers for England have not yet made a final selection of their touring team, but fifteen members selected from Wollington and Canterbury left Wellington for Syoney this evening to join the steamer for England, after playing matches in Sydney. The names supplied by Mr Baskiville, secretary of the !Ncw Zealand CluDj are —Pearce, Turtill, tavery, McGregor (Canterbury), Wrigloy (Maaterton), A. H. Baskiville, R. Callum, E. Lilo, D. Gilchrist, E. Watkins (Wellington), and ■ Cross, Byrno, Wright, Tyne, and Kelly (Pstono). . g The final selection vail bo made in || Sydney, and it is said to be on tho cards fo that more than one of tho amateur All Blacks will yet join tho professionals. It is also stated that a prominent fiveeighth back of Wanganui and another of Mastcrton will be available to follow from New Zealand if required to fill vacanceis. Sydn.sv, August 10. A mooting of footballers interested in tire professional movement decided to form a New South Wales League. It is stated that eight souior clubs were ropreseuted, including a number of first grade players. All present signed a document agreeing to play against a New Zealand professional team. A statement was made at the meeting that some of tho leading players and supporters had received intimation from their employers that they must either forego their position or professionalism.

Another List. Wellington, August 9. Twenty-two members of tho professional Rugby team have now been selected. Tho names are G. W. Smith, L B. Todd, E. Wynvard, H. Rowe, W. Tyler, W. Trevarthen, W. H. Mackrell, all of Auckland. Some additions will probably yet be made. It is said some difficulty was experienced in completing tho teams, several who were chosen having withdrawn __
