Tho Goolds will bo tried at Monte Cato. A blood-stained _ _ dagger, chopper, saws and a kuite wore found in their apartments. A niece living with them was sent away before the crime. Mrs Goold told people her husband was subject to blood spitting. Goold, while, at Monte Carlo, openly styled himself Sir Vovo Goold. His wife gave the police her maiden name of Girodin. Both were heavy gamblers. An entry in Livcy’s note-book mentions that' .the she lent the Goolds a thousand francs, and a card has boon found asking for immediate n payment.
Tlio newspapers allege that Goold is apparently a brother of Sir .lames Stephen Goold, or lias assumed tlio name.
Prisoners, with their niece, lived in Montreal in iS’.il, and conducted a fashionable dressmaking business Sir James, the brother, married Mademoiselle Girodin.
